In our last full scale Cadet 2 Star of the season Melisha Anthony overcame some strong local resistance to take the Under-15 Girls title back to East Anglia.
The next round of this year’s AIM Outreach Championships will take place at London Academy on Wednesday 9th April.
It’s a testament to the popularity of the London Academy Senior 2 Star that we have not had a single repeat champion this season. Our final Senior 2 Star of the season saw local player Gabriel Achampong tear through the entire competition for the loss of only one set.
An Under 17 Girls Doubles Gold for Sienna Jetha, and an Under 15 Girls Singles Gold for Soraya Rahmani-Walentynska crowned a successful weekend for London Academy at the National Championships in Nottingham.
For three years London Academy have held off every threat to their hold on the Youth British Club League’s Premier Division.
Serene Rahmani-Walentynska had an unbeaten weekend, taking Gold in both the Under 19 and Under 13 girls tournaments.
Soraya Rahmani-Walentynska hit a golden double in February by winning the National Series at the start of the month and then becoming the top ranked Cadet Girl in England just over a week later.
London Academy were dominant as they won five titles at the Jack Petchey London Schools Team Finals.
Dominic Rimmy took the Under 11 Mixed gold with a perfect 8 wins out of 8 matches on Saturday 18.
