We will running our first ever parent and child doubles tournament at London Academy on the 25th of May.
PARENT & CHILD DOUBLES TOURNAMENT – 25th May 2024
This tournament is NOT INCLUDED in the computer ranking scheme.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Teams should be made up of:
An adult of any gender (Parent, Guardian or close family member)
A child of any gender (Under 13 – Born after 31st December 2010)
Each entrant can only play for one team.
The tournament format will be a two-stage Round Robin league with no knock-out rounds. This is to ensure that everyone gets the same amount of matches
Round one (morning session) will comprise up to 5 groups with up to 5 teams in each group. Each team will play matches against every other team in their group.
The winners of each group will go into the afternoon session in Division 1 (Championship Division), the runners-up will go into Division 2 (Consolation Division), the 3rd placed players into Division 3, etc…
Each Division will play a Round Robin session in the afternoon. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed players in the Championship and Consolation Divisions will receive medals on the day.
