Competing against the very best schools in England, London Academy delivered an outstanding medal haul across multiple age categories:
- Under 11 Boys – Gold
- Under 11 Girls – Gold
- Under 16 Girls – Gold
- Under 13 Girls – Silver
- Under 16 Boys – Silver
Securing three national titles alongside two runner-up finishes represents a remarkable
achievement and highlights the strength, depth and consistency of the Academy across all age
groups.
Performing under pressure
Entering the competition as one of the standout programmes in the country, London Academy carried the weight of expectation. With a reputation for success at this event in previous years, our players were widely recognised as the team to beat.
Despite this pressure, the players demonstrated exceptional composure and resilience throughout the competition. What stood out most was the collective spirit within the squad. Players from older age groups were regularly seen supporting and guiding their younger teammates, while younger players showed equal enthusiasm in backing the senior teams. This strong culture of unity and mutual support proved crucial, helping players navigate high-pressure moments and perform at their very best when it mattered most.
A culture of excellence and development
This success is a reflection of the Academy’s long-term commitment to developing well-rounded
athletes. The programme continues to combine high-performance training with a strong emphasis
on teamwork, character and personal growth. As the domestic competition season draws to a
close, the focus now shifts to international development opportunities.
London Academy’s elite group of players will travel to China for an intensive two-week training camp, where they will train alongside some of the country’s top young talents. At the same time, the next generation of emerging players will head to Sweden this summer for a dedicated training camp, continuing their development in a high-quality international environment.
These experiences play a vital role not only in improving technical performance, but also in building confidence, independence and resilience through exposure to new cultures and training systems.
A collective effort
The continued success of London Academy’s table tennis programme is made possible through the
dedication of a committed team behind the scenes. We extend our sincere thanks to our coaching
team — Bhavin, Hiba, Sherwin, Gabriel and Ayano — for their expertise, guidance and unwavering
support of the players.
We also recognise the invaluable contribution of our volunteers — Ruth, Sylwia and Amy — whose time and commitment play a key role in supporting the programme both in and out of competition. Finally, we thank London Academy for its continued trust in and support of the programme, enabling our students to thrive and achieve at the highest level.
Looking ahead
This year’s results represent another significant milestone in the Academy’s journey. With a strong
foundation, a clear development pathway and a culture built on excellence and teamwork, London
Academy is well positioned for continued success in the years ahead.
